Port Blair, Feb 19: Vision Andaman Society A&N Islands have got the authorization from Youth for Human Rights India Trust, to undertake Educational and other awareness conference, workshops, activities and events on behalf of and representing youth for human rights India.
Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI) is a non Profit Corporation based on Los Angeles, California, USA. YHRI operates worldwide with the purpose of providing easy to understand human rights education to adults and children as stated in the United Nation Universal Declaration of Human Rights and effectively combat violation of human rights. The YHRI carries out projects that address and helps restore human rights and freedom. Youth for Human Rights India is a Non-Profit Trust Registered in Delhi and is authorized to represent YHRI in India.
Mr. KESHAB BARIKDAR, President, Vision Andaman Society has been invited to attend the “SOUTH ASIAN HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT” 2013. The Summit will be held in Chennai, India, from March 1st to 3rd 2013.
The summit is one of a series of eight regional summits that will be held around the world as part of our 10th World Educational Tour 2013 including Jamaica, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, South Asia, Taiwan and the USA. The summit is co-organized by Youth for Human Rights International, Youth for Human Rights chapters in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, other South Asia countries and other like-minded organizations.
The purpose of Youth of Human Rights International (YHRI) is to teach youth around the world about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and inspire them to become advocates for tolerance and peace. The summit will bring Youth Delegates from around South Asia together to discuss human rights and the role of human rights education. The mission of YHRI is educational and apolitical focusing on teaching universal human rights as set out in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
