Port Blair, Feb 12: A person was found lying in unconscious state on the road side near Bargat Line Junction on 4th February, 2013 with injuries over his body. The person was shifted to G.B. Pant Hospital by PCR Van, where he was admitted for treatment.
The person was unable to disclose his identity and he was undergoing treatment at G. B. Pant Hospital, but no relatives had came forward to attend the old aged man till this evening. Attempts by police to ascertain the details of the person were futile. However, he stated to be a resident of Shadipur area.
Following this Andaman and Nicobar Police issued a Press Release this evening for
General Public to pass on information, if any, about the relatives of the above person.
On seeing the Press Release and a familiar face, the reporter of Andaman Sheekha, Mr. E Arun, on doubt, visited some of the remote pockets of Shadipur area and traced out family members of the injured person, after showing the photographs to several people and shops. The family members sent to G B Pant Hospital and the whole family was reunited.
