Port Blair, Feb 13: The State Convenor of Cultural Cell, BJP Mr. Hament Kr. Dhingra in a letter addressed to the Director of Health Service, A&N Islands, Port Blair has demanded to ban sale of toxicants in the local market especially the banned medicines which are easily available to school going children thus increasing the number of addicts in this age group.
He has also demanded to conduct awareness programme at various levels and a separate cell like AIDS should be opened at DHS level to monitor these programmes.
