Port Blair, Mar 10: The 8th Inter college youth festival “ANCO-Fest SPARDHA 2K24” will be kicked off tomorrow wherein more than 4000 students shall be competing for 40 events broadly classified under environmental related activities, painting, entertainment, poetry, photography, cooking and building spirit of Nationalism. Higher educational institutes of ANI namely JNRM, TGCE, DBRAIT, ANCOL, ANIIMS, ALC, DIET and ITI shall be organizing this mega event jointly. All the institutes shall be hosting the assigned activities in their respective premises by inviting the participants from other colleges. The guideline for conduction of events, judgment and announcement of the results for the allotted event and award of prizes and certificates for the same has been taken up by the organizing institutes.
In its maiden voyage, the inaugural event of volleyball tournament for boys and girls will be held in the morning followed by other events namely sculpture with waste material, short film & reel making on the theme of ‘Save Andaman, Save Beach’ and technical poster presentation on the scope of renewable energy & its adoption in rural areas shall be held during the later part of the day.
