Port Blair, Mar 10: TSG Charitable Foundation and Gram Panchayat, Beodnabad jointly hosted the much-anticipated “International Women’s Day Programme” on 07th March, 2024 at Burmanallah Panchayat Hall with a lively celebration, recognizing the exceptional contribution of womens across various domains.
Around 150 women gathered to celebrate their success and accomplishments in life as mothers, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
The event started with a welcome speech by Mr. R. Paramasivam, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Beodnabad.
The event featured an array of engaging activities and inspiring discussions. Hearts unleashed with beautiful dance performances by girl childrens.
Mr. Dakshin Bhasker, Director, TSG Hotels & Resorts who was the Chief Guest, reflected on the remarkable contribution of Indian women in the society, economy and the cultures around the world. He exhorted the diverse gathering not to rest on their laurels and strive for a more inclusive environment.
Renowned speakers including Mrs. Shanta Laxman Singh, Ex-Chairperson, PBMC, Mrs. Zubaida Begum, Ex-Chairperson, PBMC, Mrs. Champa Das, Pramukh, Prothrapur, Ms. Diksha Dular, Youth Leader and Mrs. Meena Ramkumar, Director, VYK Foundation, Pattergudda shared their insights on women’s empowerment, leadership, and overcoming barriers in different fields.
The occasion also saw the unveiling of hidden glamour. The programme came alive during the fashion show as women showcased not just their designer ensembles but also their inner strength.
In addition to the celebration, the event also acknowledged remarkable women within the community who have made significant contributions to society with mementos and shawls.
Finally, presenting the Vote of Thanks, Mr. V. Kumar, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Beodnabad thanked Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, TSG Charitable Foundation for his blessings and support in making the event a grand success.
