Port Blair, Feb 26: On 24/02/2024, an UDFIR No. 14/24 U/s 174 CrPC was registered at PS Pahargaon upon the recovery of dead body of a person namely Sushil Kido S/o Paulus Kido 34yrs R/o Khadiapada, Karamunda, Ralakhandi, Sundargarh, Odisha now at Brichgunj near SL quarry who was a worker at SL quarry and had been missing since 18/02/2024.
During the PME of the deceased, it was opined by the Doctor that the deceased had suffered fatal injuries due to suffering a hit from a solid object causing serious injuries to his left forehead and lower right chest due to which the deceased might have died.
Based on the opinion of the Doctor and report submitted by IO of UDFIR No. 14/24, an FIR vide No. 23/2024 dtd 25/02/2024 U/s 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Pahargaon and is under investigation.
During the course of investigation, the prime suspects namely (1) Phagu Xalxo S/o Mr. Choya Xalxo (38) yrs (Labour SL Crushers) R/o SL Crusher site at Brijgunj (Perm. Add. :- Rarakhandi, PS Birmitrapur, Dist:- Sundergarh, State Odisha and (2) Rabi Badaik S/o Late Sunny badaik (32) yrs (Labour SL Crushers) R/o SL Crusher site at Brijgunj (Perm. Add. – Sundergarh, State Odisha) were interrogated at length and they confessed their involvement in the crime. Subsequently, they were arrested and produced before the Court on 26/02/2024. Further investigation of the case is under progress.
