Port Blair, Feb 25: The Directorate of Social Welfare organized a heartwarming outing for the senior citizens of Abbhyuday Complex, Ferrargunj at Veer Savarkar Park, Chouldari. The event was aimed at providing an opportunity for the elderly residents to enjoy nature and peace in a tranquil setting.
The senior citizens were seen delighting in the beauty of the park and relishing the peaceful environment as they took a break from their daily routine. Mr. Balveer Singh, senior Citizen from Abbhyuday Complex, couldn’t hide his joy. He also expressed his happiness, “Today was a day that reminded us of the simple joys that life has to offer. I am grateful for this wonderful experience and for the opportunity to soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the park.”
Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare), was present to ensure that the outing was a memorable one for all involved. His dedication to the mission of social inclusion was palpable as he mingled with the seniors, listening to their stories and sharing laughs.
