
Port Blair, Feb 18: India’s largest voluntary tribal welfare organization; Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (ABVKA) welcomes the first tribal women President of India Mrs. Droupadi Murmu on her 05 days visit from 19th February, 2024 to Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (ABKVA) working in the tribal field from the past seven decades and reaching millions of people from the tribal community. India is the land of 12 Crore tribal population with more than 450 tribal groups which forms a diversed cultural beauty. Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (ABKVA) working among these tribal communities who were residing in far flung areas which are unreached by the mainstream society with the theme of development through culture and faith. Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram runs 21966 Nos. of projects which has focused areas as Education, Health, Awareness, Cultural Preservation, Tribal Rights, Self –reliance, Women Empowerment and Skill Trainings.
While for the election of President of India held in the year 2022 Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has urged for the support to elect Mrs. Droupadi Murmu who hails from Tribal Community and who has been served as a good administrator, she has raised her voice for the poor, downtrodden and tribals in her vast political & social career. Her election as the President of India has made the entire tribal community proud and happy. She has been a milestone for the tribal community and the eternal source of inspiration for the whole community where she belongs from and also a role model for the young generations. Achieving the supreme Constitutional position has made Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram proud and a very hope for the tribal community.
Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands heartily welcomes Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, President of India for her visit to these Islands and has made appointment for its delegation to meet and discuss the various issues pertaining to the local Chotanagpuri tribal community and native tribal community as well. A Memorandum will also be submitted while meeting Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, President of India at Port Blair.
It is pertinent to mention here that Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has a cordial relationship with Mrs. Droupadi Murmu before becoming the President of India and she has guided Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in many occasions while taking part in the programmes and hoping from her for more future support for the upliftment of the down trodden tribal communities.
