Port Blair, Feb 12: Mr. Mohd. Raffique, General Secretary, OFSSEAD had congratulated Ms. R Kasthuri Bhai, representing GDMS Port Blair and hailing from the A & N Islands, showcased her prowess on the chessboard by securing the fifth position in the girls under-17 category at the recently concluded 12th National School Chess Championship 2024 held at Gyan Bhavan in Patna, Bihar. With an impressive performance, she accumulated six points through a combination of four wins and four draws across nine rounds. Her remarkable feat earned her a medal, cash prize, and a certificate of recognition. The championship witnessed the participation of approximately 900 players from across India, competing in various age brackets. He also requested administration to promote such players in future.
