Port Blair, Feb 12: The 35th Annual Athletic Meet of Govt. Sr. Sec. School Kapanga Katchal was held on 09th February 2024 at Mildera Ground Mr. Mohd. Yousuf SRO (Special Relief Officer) Katchal was the Chief Guest in the opening ceremony. He, at the onset declared the meet open. He motivated the students to keep up their team spirit, determination and sportsmanship as part of their holistic development. The four houses – Kingfisher, Hornbill, Megapode and Woodpigeon presented their March Past, Mass PT, Zumba Dance, Welcome Song and many track events and games. During the closing ceremony Mr. Subramani, SHO, PS Katchal was the chief guest who appreciated the students and teachers hard work for conducting the sports in a befitting manner and enjoyed all the games and field events, Bamboo dance, Zumba dance and finally declared the meet closed. Mr. Aron, a retired National Awardees Teacher was the guest of honor. Students were facilitated by the entire guest for their hard work and achievements. Mrs. Joselyn Samuel (PGT) Teacher In charge of the school appreciated the students as well as all teachers for their zeal, teamwork and dedication in making the event a great success. The rolling trophy went to Kingfisher House and the Hornbill House were the runners up. The sports event ended with the National Anthem.
