Port Blair, Jan 06: Certificate distribution programme on completion of Computer, Tailoring and Fashion Designing course to the candidates run by the Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Union, Taylorabad held today in the premises of Coop Training College Building. Mr. NK Sharma, IAS, Secretary- coop. cum Registrar of Cooperative Society, AN Administration was the chief guest on the occasion.
Welcoming the Chief Guest and the gathering, Mr.Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, A & Nicobar State Cooperative Union recorded his pleasure that in this batch total 73 candidates, out of which 40 candidates have successfully completed the Tailoring and Fashion Designing training while 33 candidates have completed training in Computer.
Mr. Sharma has urged upon these pass outs that they should not let this training go waste rather use it in practical world and thus earn livelihood for themselves and their family members.
Further, Mr. Sharma has also told the candidates that in case they need any further advanced training, they should not hesitate to come with their proposals and in case of financial help to set up their small business, they may contact the Union and will be fulfilled by the ANS coop bank in form of loan.
Mr. Sharma has also stated that very soon the Union will start training courses in Home Science and the islands have got great potential in Tourism and Fisheries sectors and hence the Union has proposal to start training courses in Tourism and Fisheries to generate employment.
After distributing the certificates to the pass outs, the Chief Guest Mr. NK Sharma has stated that now a days, there is very limited scope for jobs in Government Sector and also in private sector.
“Having concern over this socio problem, the steps taken by the ANS Coop Union for imparting training in various fields to make the unemployed youths to form their SHG groups, is praise worthy.” Mr. NK Sharma said.
He also has thanked to all those pass outs who have opted to get training in computer, tailoring and fashion designing to prepare themselves as self independent.
He hoped that these aspirants will either opt for self employment or opt for Self help groups, as self reliance is not only helpful to a person but also very much helpful for the entire society.
Ms Shanu Chaturvedy, S Kamalawati and Annamma Jacob has recorded their thanks to the Chairman of the Union for introducing such training with a minimum fees structure in the Union and all of them have also praised for their instructors.
