Port Blair, Jan 21: In a spectacular display of cultural exuberance, the SNT Youth Boys, Ward no. 14 marked the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti with an array of vibrant celebrations.
The programme was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of TSG Charitable Foundation and Guest of Honour Mr. Y. Joga Rao, Councillor, Ward no. 14 along with Special Guest Mr. Saji Varghese, Social Worker and Mrs. Sita Lakshmi, Social Worker who hosted the event.
The festivities commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony, setting the tone for a day filled with cultural activities and merriment. The entire area was adorned with colorful decorations, resonating the spirit of Makar Sankranti. The cultural extravaganza also featured traditional music and dance performances.
Mr. TSG Bhasker expressed delight at the enthusiastic participation of children and youths in making the Makar Sankranti celebration a memorable experience. He emphasized the importance of such cultural events in fostering a sense of unity and cultural appreciation in the Islands.
