Port Blair, Jan 16: NDRF team is currently undertaking a familiarization exercise in North and Middle Andaman District as part of Disaster preparedness. The NDRF team have carried out visit of vulnerable areas in and around Diglipur. As community outreach effort and to create awareness amongst the population Community Awareness Program at Diglipur and School Safety Program at Govt Secondary School Durgapur were conducted.
During the Programs various Disaster related topics were covered and demonstrated. The Team also interacted with various stakeholders like Pradhan, Jilla Parishad Member and general public. During the School Safety Program, DEO Diglipur was present and Disaster Management Kit was handed over to School to use in the time of exigencies.
