Port Blair, Dec 18: In a significant stride towards enhancing tourist safety and promoting the pristine beauty of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a state-of-the-art Tourist Police Kiosk was inaugurated on 18/12/2023 at the iconic Cellular Jail. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of the Director General of Police (DGP), highlighting the commitment of the authorities to ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for visitors.
The Tourist Police Kiosk is a pioneering initiative aimed at facilitating and assisting tourists coming to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with a special focus on the historical site of Cellular Jail.
