Port Blair, Dec 08: ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker held a meeting with the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Mr. Keshav Chandra, IAS on Thursday.
During the meeting, Mr. Halder and Mr. Bhasker conveyed the concerns and aspirations of the citizens of A&N Islands regarding various urgent issues affecting the region.
The deliberations covered matters related to issues in Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Shortage of doctors, Shortage of technicians in Dialysis Unit, Shortage of medicine and oil *in* Ayush *Medical, providing Gynecologist in Rangat and Diglipur, re-appointment of nursing staffs who worked during COVID-19, appointment of Bangla Medium teachers, unavailability of hostel facility for girl students of JNRM, exorbitant air fares and issues pertaining to the sports sector.*
Special focus was laid on addressing the poor condition of NH-4 road, re-opening of Quarries, issuance of Smart Card to Islanders and several other matters of public importance.
The Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing to the issues put forth by Mr. Halder and Mr. Bhasker and responded positively. He assured to take necessary steps in redressing the same.
The ANTCC President and Campaign Committee Chairman appreciated the Chief Secretary’s receptiveness and collaborative approach towards resolving these challenges.
