Port Blair, Nov 03: Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman inaugurated and declared the 12th Annual Athletic meet, (2023-24) of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout, open on 02nd December. 2023 by lighting the traditional lamp, in presence of Mr. S. Boominathan, up- Adhyaksh ZPSA, Smti Pramila Kumari, Zilla Parishad Member Chouldari Constituency, Mr. Anand Amrit Raj Pradhan Gram Panchayat Tushnabad and Smti Chaitali Roy Panchayat Samiti Member, Chouldari.
The Aadhyaksh in his inaugural address lauded the effort of the School Administration in conducting the Annual Sports day in the best possible manner. He further stated that sports is an integral part of physical and mental development of children and therefore requisite sports infrastructure needs to be developed in all the Schools of this U.T. The chief guest impressed upon the School Children to work hard in their studies and take time out of their daily schedule for sports of their interest.
