Port Blair, Nov 14: Under the observance of World Diabetes Day, 2023, State NCD Cell, DHS and PHC Manglutan has organised a Diabetes Screening Camp at Community Hall, Manglutan on 14th November 2023.
The screening camp was started with an inaugural function by Dr. Omkar Singh, CMO (NFSG), Dr. Shiny Varghese, Nodal Officer (NP-NCD), Dr. Annie Das, MO I/c PHC Manglutan, Dr. Arup Saha, ANIIMS and Mr. Durlab Das, Pradhan by lighting of lamp.
Dr. Omkar Singh briefed about the importance of World Diabetes Day and prevention of diabetes through lifestyle modifications. More than 100 patients were screened for Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar with medical consultation by specialists. Ophthalmic screening was undertaken for identifying refractive errors.
This joint venture by State NCD Cell, DHS and PHC Manglutan resulted in conducting a successful community level specialised camp benefitting the people of Manglutan.
