Port Blair, Nov 07: To reaffirm our fight against drugs, and as a capacity building measure, the Andaman & Nicobar Police in coordination with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), organized a three hours training-cum-workshop programme on “Seizure and investigation procedure in NDPS cases” for the Supervisory and Investigating officers of A&N Police in the Conference Hall of the Police Head Quarters, on 06/11/2023. The training was imparted by Mr. Rakesh Chandra Shukla, Zonal Director, Kolkata Zone, NCB.
The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge and skills of the officers & staff of A&N Police regarding different mandatory and important provisions of “Seizure and investigation procedure in NDPS cases”. During the Session, Mr. Rakesh Chandra Shukla, Zonal Director, NCB, Kolkata delivered informative lectures on various topics like, mandatory provisions of NDPS Act and elaborated the seizure and investigation procedures in NDPS cases.
Over 60 participants from various Police Stations/Units of A&N Police from the rank of HCs to Dy.SsP, attended the workshop in offline and online modes. A&N Police is committed towards taking all steps for eradication of the menace of drugs in A&N Islands.
