Port Blair, Oct 18: The BRC South Andaman with the support of Pankh Andaman NGO inaugurated a Resource Room for the children with special needs at Govt Senior Secondary School Junglighat on October 13th 2023. The Pankh Andaman NGO facilitated the children with basic learning essentials and also furnished the Resource Room. Mr. Gyan Sheel Dubey, Deputy Education officer, South Andaman inaugurated the resource room which was followed by a cultural programme presented by the special children with a cake cutting ceremony and gifts were also given to all the special children. The gathering was addressed by the chief guest and also by Mr. M. Nehru, principal GSSS boy’s school stating the importance of these resource rooms. The founder president Mrs. Komal Anand along with the members of the NGO was also present for the program. The founder president of the NGO encouraged the mothers of the special children. The programme concluded with a Silent National Anthem (sign language).
