Port Blair, Oct 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated victories in the recent General and Bye Elections at Little Andaman, Campbell Bay and Shaheed Dweep. Mr.AjoyBairagi, State President of the BJP in A & N Islands, extended his warm congratulations to all victorious BJP candidates from various constituencies.
General Election for Netaji Nagar and Hut Bay Gram Panchayat Member Constituencies (including Pradhans) under Little Andaman Tehsil and Bye-election for 5 Gram Panchayat Member Constituencies of Laxmanpur-1 Ramnagar-1, Ramnagar-2, Bharatpur-1, Bharatpur-2, of Neil Kendra (Shaheed Dweep) under Port Blair Tehsil and 01 Gram Panchayat Member Laxmi Nagar Constituency of Laxmi Nagar Gram Panchayat under Campbell Bay Tehsil respectively was held on 15 October 2023.
Mr. M.Vinod, State Vice President and State Media Convenor informed Andaman Sheekha Daily that the BJP recorded wins in several seats: In Netaji Nagar, Pradhan Mr.Bidyut Rai was victorious, along with 9 out of 14 Ward Members and HutBay witnessed the win of Pradhan Mr. Rudra Moorthy, with the party securing 10 out of the 14 Ward Member seats.
Shaheed Dweep saw the triumph of two ward members, Mrs. Basanti Sardar and Mr. Kajal Das while. Campbell Bay elected one ward member from BJP, Mr.Sooraj Kumar.
Mr.Bairagi expressed his gratitude not only to the elected leaders and voters but also to every party worker, commending their relentless efforts that contributed to the party’s impressive performance. He emphasized that these results underscore the people’s faith in Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the commendable developmental initiatives undertaken by the current government.
