Port Blair, Oct 03: Mr. B SankarMadaswamy, Manager, HRD, ISTRAC/ISRO, Bangalore a renowned scientist in the area of space and research, gave an expert talk on “Space Research and Missions” at DBRAIT today, October 3, 2023. The ISTRAC scientist/engineer during visit to these islands has consented to address the budding engineers of these Islands. He kindled the scientific temperament of the young minds and elaborated on the prospects and avenues in ISRO/ISTRAC and encouraged them to take on projects and research related to space science and satellite engineering. Mr. Madaswamy highlighted upon the various establishment of ISRO pan India and their locational importance. The scientist touched upon the strategic significance of these Islands in ISRO’s space mission.
During his session he gave a presentation on the most recent trends, results, and applications in the field of Space Research followed by interaction with students. Earlier Dr. Shoaib Kamal, Associate Professor, ECE Department welcomed the gathering. The session was attended by at least 90 students of both B.Tech and Diploma programmes. The programme ended with a vote of thanks given by Mr. Harshabardhan, Assistant Professor (CSE).
