Port Blair, Oct 03: On the 2nd of October, 2023, a momentous programme was organized at the Congress Office (Gandhi Bhawan), Port Blair, marking the 154th Birth Anniversary of the Father of Nation, Late. Mahatma Gandhi, who continues to be an enduring symbol of non-violent resistance and freedom.
Simultaneously, the Congress leaders also honoured Lal Bahadur Shastri, Former Prime Minister of India on his 119th Birth Anniversary, whose leadership has earned him immense respect in the Nation.
Additionally, this day marked the solemn remembrance of K. Kamaraj ji on his 48th Death Anniversary, a stalwart in Indian politics and a devoted leader who made invaluable contributions to education and public welfare.
Mr. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC and Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC garlanded the portrait and paid Floral tributes to the three leaders as a mark of respect along with the Senior Congress leaders, ANTCC Chief Spokesperson, Mahila leaders, City Congress, Frontal Organizations, ANTCC Department and Cells, PBMC Councilors, PRI Members and General Public paid tributes to the prominent leaders. This was followed by a “Sarva Dharma Pratna” (All Religious Prayer).
This convergence of events brought together people to honor the legacies of these iconic leaders who played pivotal roles in shaping India’s history and the future.
