World Tourism Day is celebrated for generating worldwide awareness about the social, cultural, political and economic values of tourism.
Tourism is a very important segment of our Island’s economy. Andaman & Nicobar Islands is blessed with rich cultural and geographical diversity making it one of the most popular tourist destinations among local and foreign travellers.
Our Island offers diverse forms of tourism, including cultural, rural, religious, historical, wildlife, water sports, mountaineering and eco-tourism to name a few. I am confident that A&N Islands would be the most favoured tourist destination in the country in near future.
On this Tourism Day, let’s cultivate awareness among the peoples globally on the significance of tourism and its importance and value.
