Port Blair, Sep 10: Observance of Poshan Maah, 2023 by ICDS Urban Project on 09/09/2023 at Buniyadabad, Community Hall.
Today on 09/09/2023, Poshan Maah 2023 on the theme “Swasta Balak Balika Spradha” was organized at Buniyadabad Community Hall, Port Blair Mrs. Laxmi Ganeshan, Councillor Ward No 8 was the Chief Guest and other dignities Mr. PC James, Programme Officer (ICDS), Medical Officer and ANM, UHC Delanipur, Mrs. Sarika Verma, Consultant, NNM, Mr. Ganeshan Ex- Chairman was present in the program. The CDPO, Urban Project, Mrs. Zarina Bibi welcomed the Gathering. The Baby Show was conducted in the age group 0-3 years. The program was judged on the parameters of growth monitoring complete immunization, personal hygiene and overall milestones achieved by the children according to their age. Yoga demonstration and cultural programme was performed by children. Gifts were distributed to the participants.
Also, there was a display of recipes made of millets, locally available fruits and vegetables and indigenous toys exhibiting the theme of “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi”.
Mrs. Sarika Verma Consultant (NNM), DSW, elaborated the importance of Health and diet in our life. The Programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. B Mohiniamma, AWW, Buniyadabad-3.
