Port Blair, Sep 10: Mr. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC and Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC along with Mr. Hassan Lamaya, Block President of Kamorta met villagers of Kamorta Island and discussed various issues including issue of Islander Cards, clean drinking water, exorbitant price of essential commodities and regularization of DRM’s.
The team gave a patient hearing for almost 45 minutes and promised all help to sort out the issues.
Mr. Rangalal Halder requests the Administration and the Chief Engineer to immediately clean the Dam which has not been cleaned for quite many years and help in providing clean drinking water to the villagers of Kamorta.
He also urged the Administration to undertake Islander Card drive in Kamorta Island and issue the Islander Card to all eligible people.
