Port Blair, Sep 10: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) Foundation day was celebrated in the Andaman Nicobar Islands. VHP is holding a week-long celebration from Rakshabandhan to Janmashtami to mark the Organization’s Foundation day. As a part of celebration, VHP had organized various programs/events such as Quiz Competitions (Hindu Culture, Ramayan, Maha Barath, Lord Krishna),Drawing Competition (Lord Krishna),Kids Fancy Dress Competition (Lord Krishna & Radha) in the islands.
On this Occasion, VHP informs that the VHP is entering in its 60th year since founded in the year 1964 on the day of Krishna Janmashtami by Swami Chinmayanand, SS Apte, RSS Sarsanghchalak Poojaneya Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar. Since then VHP has been working to protect the culture, protect and promote Hindu philosophy of life, traditional values of Bharat and Spirituality
In A&N Islands, VHP had organized various competitions in altogether 50 places/Temples. Various competitions are awarded with prizes at their respective places. According to the statement, VHP will be completing the 60th Year of its foundation in 2024. Hence the State committee of Vishwa Hindu Parishad A&N Islands plans to expand its activities in the Andaman Nicobar Islands.
