Port Blair, Sept. 3: The Science Centre Port Blair is set to ignite the curiosity and scientific temperament of young minds in the field of Space technology by organizing the screening of Chandrayaan-3 lunar soft landing mission. India became the first successful country to send lander Vikram carrying with rover Pragyan in the South Pole of Moon’s surface on 23rd August, 2023.
To celebrate this occasion, a 15 days event targeted for the students studying in class VI to VIII is being arranged from 1st September, 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon and shall continue until 15th September, 2023 coinciding with the Birth Anniversary of Sir Vishweswaraya, an eminent Indian Engineer. The event will allow students to witness the gripping landing sequence of Chandrayaan-3’s remarkable journey and its significance in the realm of space exploration.
Interested schools in and around Port Blair may select a group of 45 to 50 students and may contact Science Centre over phone no.9679521509/9933207860/9679541110, to schedule their preferred date and time to witness the event. The Science Centre shall provide bus services for mobility of the students from their respective school.
