Port Blair, Sept 01: Following discovery of an unidentified body partially buried in the sands near the Neil Cove area, near Radha Nagar Beach on Swaraj Dweep, the Andaman and Nicobar Police has swung into action. On Thursday, August 31, the police officially seized the corpse for a thorough investigation.
Later a team of forensic experts and police officials reached the scene to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this puzzling incident. Their findings revealed that the deceased was a 44-year-old male identified as Mr. Laxman Roy, hailing from Govind Nagar, Number 02.
The chain of events unfolded as information about the unsettling discovery reached the Police Station yesterday morning. In swift response, a police team rushed to the location without delay.
Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that the circumstances surrounding Mr. Laxman Roy’s death are anything but natural. It is suspected that the victim was attacked as his body had multiple injury marks.
The post-mortem reports, expected to shed further light on the case, are poised to play a pivotal role in advancing the investigation.
