Port Blair, Aug 23: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), in collaboration with the Global Travel Agents Association (GTAA) and Travel Agents Association of Gujarat (TAG), proudly presented an engaging Andaman Tourism Roadshow at Hotel Pride Plaza in Ahmedabad. The event took place on 22 August, showcasing the mesmerizing beauty and diverse offerings of the Andaman Islands.
The Andaman Tourism Roadshow aimed to promote the Andaman Islands as a premier travel destination and to foster meaningful connections between tour operators, travel agents, and industry stakeholders. The event welcomed travel enthusiasts, travel agents, and industry professionals from the region to explore the various attractions, activities, and opportunities that the Andaman Islands have to offer.
“We are thrilled to have organized this successful event in collaboration with GTAA and TAG associations of Gujarat,” said M. Vinod, President of the Andaman Association of Tour Operators. “The Andaman Islands boast unparalleled natural beauty, rich culture, and a wide range of adventure and leisure activities. Our goal is to create awareness and establish strong partnerships that will contribute to the growth of tourism to the Andaman Islands.” Mr. Vinod further said that AATO will be participating in TTF, Gandhinagar to be organized from 23 to 25 August.
The event featured informative presentations, interactive sessions, and engaging discussions about the unique experiences that travelers can enjoy in the Andaman Islands. Attendees had the chance to learn about the islands’ stunning beaches, marine life, water sports, eco-tourism initiatives, and luxury accommodations.
Mr. P.S.Vijayan, Organizing Secretary of AATO, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from attendees and industry partners. “We are thankful for the participation of our supporting partners Makruzz, Nautika, Deforet, and Aquays. The Andaman Association of Tour Operators, along with its partners GTAA and TAG, looks forward to continuing its efforts to promote Andaman as a must-visit travel destination, while also fostering strong ties within the travel and tourism industry.
Hope AATO will consider the need of the budget tourists , too. It is a common knowledge the hoteliers and restaurant owners charge exorbitantly . AATO should coordinate with govt depts and local producers to make raw materials available to the hoteliers and restaurant owners at cheaper price , so that tourists could get the advantage of reasonable rate. High value tourists alone should not be the goal.
