Port Blair, Aug 11: As a culminating event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava, “Meri Maati Mera Desh” event was conducted today by Army and Naval NCC cadets at Capt. Ashim Kumar Bhattacharjee Park, Junglighat, Port Blair. During the event, the cadets paid tributes to the braveheart, which was followed by a pledge taking ceremony. The cadets pledged that they would actively get involved in nation building, remove traces of colonial mindset and will devote themselves in the defense and progress of the nation. Lt Cdr Ankit Pant, Commanding Officer 1 (AN) Naval Unit NCC congratulated the cadets for their dedication and exemplary participation in all activities pertaining to Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava. During the event, PI and Civil Staff of both units were also present.
