Port Blair, July 31: The Port Blair Municipal Council bid farewell to five employees of the Council, who superannuated from government service. At a simple function held on 31st July, 2023 in the conference hall of the Council Mrs. S Selvi, Chairperson, Mr. Dilkhush Meena (IAS) Secretary PBMC , Mr. Dharmendra Narayan, Senior Vice Chairperson, Mr. B Padmanabham, Junior Vice Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council handed over all the retirement benefits including GPF, Gratuity and other monetary benefits to the retiring employees. In her address the Chairperson recalled the valuable services rendered by them to the Council and wished them a happy and healthy post retired life. Mementoes were also presented to the retiring employees. Elected representatives of various wards and officers / officials of the Council were also present during the farewell function. The employees who retired are viz Mr. Umananda Roy, Assistant Engineer (E&M), Mr. HarbansLall, Assessor, Revenue Section, Mr. K Elango, Lineman (attached to JE-III(WW), Mr. P Yousuf, WCM, Mechanical Section and Mr. Jeevan Lall, WCM, (attached to Revenue Section), PBMC.
