Port Blair, Jan 08: The Lt. Governor, Lt. General (Retd.) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM has lauded the performance of the Flute Maestro, Padmavibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and said that it was a great performances of a great artist, who is nationally and internationally renowned artist. He thanked him and his team for the performance on behalf of the islanders and expressed hope that he would visit these islands again and perform in the years to come.
Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia was performing in the Dr. BRAIT auditorium here this evening, as part of the Island Tourism Festival. He was accompanied by Shri Santosh Sant, Shri Subhanker Banerjee and Ms Ananya, presenting as many as five classical raagas, that received high applause from the audience.
