Port Blair, July 13: Mr. Rayhaan Pasha, President of Nicobar Youth Association, the first tribal from Andaman & Nicobar Islands participated in Tribal Leadership Program (TLP) hosted by Tata Steel Foundation at panchgani, Maharastra from July 4 to 11 July 2023. It was a residential programme for individuals from tribal communities who feel strongly about the challenges facing tribal communities, believe in the power of the tribal discourse and have the will to do something about it. All related with their thought, considering belong to TLP.
It aims to bring together young tribal individuals, by giving them an intense, one-of-its-kind platform to learn, co-learn and share stories of their successes, failures and inspiration, while connecting with the others. Through reflection, conflict-handling, insights into policy and law-making, TLP is structured to unlock an individual’s personal introspection as well as enable an imbibing of relevant insights on the external domain. It is about growing as a person with renewed confidence and emerge as a leader with strong perspectives. The goal is to contribute to building a nation that has a leadership based on ground-up experience.
Only 95 tribal youth leaders from 51 tribal communities from 19 states and 03 UTs, who hails from 74 districts of India were selected by seeing their outstanding achievement out of 700 applicants and Mr.Rayhaan Pasha was one of the selected participants in which he made the tribal communities of A & N Islands very proud. Further, Rayhaan Pasha had also requested Tata steel foundation to organised the regional Samvaad -A Tribal Conclave in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, so that the tribal community of ANI are benefits with their knowledgeable awareness program.
The team of Tata Steel Foundation had appreciated Rayhaan efforts in working for the Tribal Communities and Later, TSF facilitated him by acknowledging that Rayhaan Pasha demonstrated his potential as a changemaker, and they wish him very best in taking this journey ahead.
