Port Blair, July 13: “HASGULLA CLUB”, an initiative by the Directorate of Social Welfare for the senior citizens launched its stint in Port Blair on 30th June 2023 with ‘Gandhi Global Family’ (women), Andaman and Nicobar Islands chapter. The four day programme started on Day 1 with Yoga session at Jogger’s Park, Mrs Anuradha Lall, president, GGF welcomed the gathering. On Day 2, an ‘Eye Camp’ was held at Chinmaya Mission in collaboration with Rohin’s Eye hospital.
Around 40 patients attended the camp. Day 3 was marked by grooming and laughter yoga. Day 4 was all about Spiritual session through Bhajans, Kirtans, Gurbaani and Duas. Mrs Mehwesh Jadwet, General Secretary, GGF, gave the Vote of thanks. Swami Sudhanand of Chinmaya Mission concluded the programme with a motivational speech.
