Port Blair, July 07: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), met with the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration today to address several important matters. During the meeting, Jolly raised the following issues and requested prompt action:
Firstly, Mr. Jolly requested the Chief Secretary to implement the Order of granting 1/30th pay plus DA in its true spirit and letter at the earliest.
He further raised the issue of regularization of all DRMs of all departments and requested to speedily form the committees in all departments for regularization of DRMs.
He also highlighted the issue of enhancement of Honorarium of Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers. He pointed out the working conditions of these workers and the meagre amount of honorarium they get. He also raised various other issues pertaining to the difficulties they face during the course of their employment while performing their duties.
Lastly, Mr. Jolly appealed to the Chief Secretary to initiate the purchase of copra from farmers without delay.
The Chief Secretary reportedly assured Jolly that all the raised issues would be appropriately addressed and resolved at the earliest.
