Port Blair, July 03: Unicorniz Innovations, a start-up from Andaman & Nicobar Islands led by Mr. Dinesh Lal, a student of B.Tech CSE, DBRAIT (2021-22 pass out) has been shortlisted as an Indian Startup team to participate in the prestigious 3rd edition of the Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 being organized at IIT Gandhinagar from 13th -18th July 2023.
A Lateral entrant in B. Tech CSE after completing Diploma from DBRAIT, Mr. Dinesh Lal has been working since 2018 as a student team to create immersive, interactive, and engaging XR experiences as part of their Diploma/B.Tech Projects. They won the 2018 Smart India Hackathon with prize money of Rs. 1Lac and were finalists in the 2020 Smart India Hackathon. As part of National Innovation and Startup Policy, DBRAIT Institute Innovation Cell in association of Dept. of Industries aims to enable, build, streamline and strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the islands involving different stakeholders at regional, national and international level.
The event is being organized by the Innovation cell, Ministry of Education, GoI launched on 13th March 2023 by Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Education Minister and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship along with Mr. Gan Kim Yong, Singapore’s Minister for Trade & Industry.
The unique initiative aims to foster linkages between young innovators in Science & Technology in Singapore and India to find solutions to the critical global challenges of our times.
