Port Blair, June 14: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, an awareness rally was conducted by Army and Naval NCC Cadets at Junglighat Port Blair. The aim of the rally was to create awareness about the importance of blood donation and to motivate people to come ahead voluntarily for the noble cause. The slogan for this year’s campaign was “Give Blood, Give Plasma, Share Life, Share Often”. The rally was flagged off by Lt Col Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officer 1(AN) INDEP Inf Coy. The cadets interacted with the local population to educate them about the necessity of blood donation for accident and trauma cases. 60 NCC Cadets participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm, holding self-made banners related to blood donation. PI Staff from both Army and Navy NCC units were present.
