
Port Blair, June 05: ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder has demanded the Administration for Immediate completion of three crucial accesses to rural NH-4 roads at North and Middle Andaman.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Mr. Halder said that the construction of the NH-4 roads at North & Middle Andaman, between [Nimbudera to Rest Camp], [Rangat to Parlobjig Gate No. 15] and [Adazig to Sundergarh Panchayat, Ward No.2] have been significantly delayed due to which the local communities poses numerous challenges for hindering their access to essential services of healthcare, education, and trade.
He stated that the timely completion of these projects will enhance a profound impact on the lives of the residents, enhancing their quality of life and fostering overall development in the region.
In addition, it will also help in ensuring the safety and convenience of commuters, as the existing conditions of the roads are deteriorating rapidly, increasing the risk of accidents and inconveniencing the transportation of goods and services, ‘he added.
Mr. Halder said that the completion of NH-4 roads will not only enhance connectivity within the region but also promote tourism, boost economic growth, and improve the overall well-being of the residents and further enable emergency services to operate more efficiently, ensuring prompt response times during emergencies.
He has also mentioned towards the residents of North and Middle Andaman who are eagerly anticipating the benefits that these roads will bring and will undoubtedly contribute to the overall progress of the region.
Mr. Halder has further requested the Administration to consider their demands for serving the lives of the residents at North and Middle Andaman.
