Port Blair, Dec 31: Thousands of people today participated in a candle light march, organized by Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank, to pay tribute to the Delhi Gang Rape Victim.
Nearly 3000 people, mostly women joined hands to pay tribute to the brave heart. Other than women from various organizations, parties, religions, anganwadi centers and cooperative societies, people from different section of Andaman Society participated in the rally.
The rally started from the head office of Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank and culminated at Tiranga Park after passing through the main market of Port Blair city.
Participants were holding candles and placards demanding strict punishment for the rapists, as early as possible.
Priests of almost all religions also participated in the rally.
At Tiranga Park Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Vice Chairman of ANSCB and other prominent citizens offered floral tribute to the Gang Rape Victim.
