Port Blair, Apr 26: Congress workers of Port Blair jostled to have a glimpse of their senior party leader late. Mr. R.V Reddy as his body was brought to the party headquarters on Wednesday morning at 11:30 am.
Mr. R.V Reddy passed away on Tuesday morning at Chennai following a heart attack. He has served the Congress Party through various posts such as State President Youth Congress, District President, and AICC Member and so on.
Several top Congress leaders, including ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker, AICC Minority Department Incharge for A&N Islands Mr. Jani Javid, AICC Member Mrs. Shanta Laxman Singh and several others paid their last respects to Late. Mr. R.V Reddy at Gandhi Bhawan.
The Congress leader offered floral tributes and observed 2 minute silence in respect of their departed leader.
Thereafter, the mortal remains of Late. R.V Reddy was taken to Junglighat Burning Ghat and consigned to flames.
