Port Blair, Apr 21: An orientation program was organized, in DBRAIT- Nodal Institute for EBSB, for the 45 selected students from the various higher educational institutions of A & N Islands for the Yuva Sangam program under Ek Bharat Shresht Bharath (EBSB). The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are paired with Jharkhand for cultural and heritage exchange under the EBSB initiatives.
The program started with an initial briefing about the concepts and components of GOI initiatives of Ek Bharat Shresht Bharath by Dr. Manu Vashishtha, Nodal Officer Yuva Sangam. During the session Mrs. Diana Josiln, one of the accompanying faculty with the troop of students visiting NITJamshedpur Jharkhand, briefed about the Do’s and Don’ts during the trip followed by Dr. Amrita Verma acquainted the students to prepare for the ongoing heat wave and Covid upsurge.
The students were also made aware about the heritage and cultural know -how’s as well as economic developments underway in these emerald Islands. The orientation program was attended by the students and parents along with accompanying faculties from JNRM, TGCE, ANCOL, ANIIMS, Andaman Law College and DBRAIT. The team is leaving on 24th April to Jharkhand. A team of 45 students from Jharkhand shall be visiting these Islands in the month of May 2023 under EBSB.
