
Port Blair, Apr 02: Shree Ram Navami Mahotsav was grandly celebrated all over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands by Vishva Hindu Parishad along with Vanvasi Kalayan Ashram. More than six places likely Port Blair, Diglipur, Mayabunder, Rangat, Baratang, Little Andaman and Campbell Bay, a grand Ram Navami shoba Yatra was organized on auspicious occasion of Shree Ram Navami Mahotsav carried out by Ram Bhakts and karakartas of VHP. Around 23 thousand people throughout Andaman and Nicobar Islands participated in Shree Ram Navami Mahotsav. .
In Port Blair, Vishva Hindu Parisad along with Vanvasi Kalayan Ashram organized a mass program of Ram Navami Mahotsav at ITF ground. The program started with Ram Yatra (BIKE RALLY) at 3.00 PM from ITF Ground, the bike rally was flagged off by the Mr. G Sthanumalayan, Central Joint General Secretary, and VHP. Devotees arrived and participated the Ram Yatra in large groups from different places of South Andaman district; like Bambooflat, Shore point, Shoulbay, Wimberly Gunj, Lambha Pahad, Lall Bijan, Chunabatta, Mannarghat, Mile Tilak, Ferrarganj, Tusnabad, Portmourt, Chouldari, Sippighat, Burmanalah etc. and entire 24 wards of Municipal Council along with Ram Jhaki with Music and raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram.
More than 15 thousand devotees in south Andaman enthusiastically participated in Ram Yatra and cultural programs organized by VHP and VKA at ITF. Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair blessed the occasion with ashirvachan and Mr. G Sthanumalayan addressed the gathering with a fiery speech igniting spiritual awakening of the devotees.
The entire South Andaman had been saffronised by the Ram Bhakts. . The President VHP, Mr. Brijesh Kumar Pandey expresses its gratitude to all citizens, Community / Social Organizations, Temple Committees, Religious Organizations, Youth Clubs, all Government and Non – Government Organizations, and all devoted police personnel. The efforts of karyakartas of VHP, VKA and like-minded organizations were made the programme in a disciplined manner. The Ram Navami Matoshav concludes with chanting of Hanuman Chalisa and distribution of Bhog Prasad to all devotees and public at ITF GROUND.
