Port Blair, Mar 26: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee on Saturday evening organized Hath se Hath Jodo Abhiyan in Shore Point Panchayat under the leadership of Ex-DCC General Secretary Mr. Abibhushan Ghosh.
The residents of the area accorded a warm welcome to the ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker, and City Congress President Mr. Mohd Zubair, Chairman Adivasi Congress Mr. Sebastian Tirkey and Congress leader Mr. Eswar Rao as per their traditional culture.
A public meeting was organized in which the Congress leaders elaborated on the objectives of the campaign and spread awareness about the policies of the Congress party. The Congress leaders and villagers also expressed their protest over the disqualification of Mr. Rahul Gandhi from Parliament.
Later, Congress leaders went door-to-door and distributed pamphlets containing the message of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, which he gave during the course of Bharat Jodo Yatra.
