Port Blair, Mar 19: The Department of Youth Affairs has planned to conduct a Mega Programme with expanded macro outreach through the umbrella Programme – Yuva Utsav – India@2047. In this connection the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Campbell bay in collaboration with Local Administration, Campbellbay will organize Yuva Utsav on 24/03/2023 at Community Hall, Campbell Bay for the youths of Great Nicobar Island. This initiative aims to rekindle the spirit of patriotism and values of India’s Freedom Struggle by engaging the youth in various events progressing from District level to State and National Levels.
The theme for the Yuva Utsav will be Panch Pran as narrated by Prime Minister during his Independence Day Speech on 15th August, 2022: Goal of developed India, to remove any trace of slavery or colonial mindset, takes pride in our heritage and legacy, unity and solidarity and sense of duty among citizens.
On occasion, events like 1. Young Artists Talent Hunt – Painting 2. Young Writers Talent Hunt – Poem 3. Photography Talent Hunt, 4. Declamation Talent Hunt and 5. Cultural Festival – Group events will be organized.
All the youths of Great Nicobar Island in the age group of 15-29 years as on 01/04/2023 are requested to enlist their participation latest by 21/03/2023 at Nehru Yuva Kendra, Campbell Bay. Further One Youth participate in only one Talent Hunt except Cultural Festival.
