Diglipur, March 10: The DPL T10 Night Cricket Championship 2023 which started on 23rd February 2023 culminated yesterday.
According to the report, all together 12 teams entered the fray. The final match was played between Hi-Tech and Black Forest yesterday at Atal Bihari Bajpai Ground, Gadda Basti, Diglipur. There was a tough fight between the two teams to grab the Trophy. The match was played under T10 format with 11 players on each side. After winning the toss, the Hi-Tech chose to bat first and scored 76 for (10-10.0) while the runner-up team could gather 60 runs only for (10-9.5). Mr. Ajit, a crucial batsman from High-Tech and who made 27 runs against 15 balls was declared as the player of the match. The match had started at 07.00pm.
Hi-Tech which had an edge over Black Forest all along the match, won the match by 16 runs and bagged the cash prize of Rs. 30,000/- and the winner’s trophy while Black Forest, the Runner-up team got Rs. 20,000/-. Mr. Anuj Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur was the Chief Guest and Mr. B. Shiva Shakti DFO, Diglipur Division was the Guest of Honor on the night cricket sports event. Mr. Dipankar Mistry, Pramukh, Diglipur, Mr. TSG Bhaskar, the Chairman, Campaign Committee, INC, A & N Islands, Mr. P.R. Singa Ram, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Subhasgram, Diglipur & Mrs. Boopathi, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Diglipur were the Special guests at the event.
After the match, Mr. Anuj Kumar, Mr. TSG Bhaskar and Mr. P.R. Singa Ram together gave away the Trophies to both the teams.
The match was organized by Gadda Basti Youth Club and sponsored by PRS sons & groups & TSG Bhaskar & groups.
Night cricket match was first of its kind in Diglipur and which gave a boost to the sports and sports aspirants, people opined.
