Port Blair, Mar 10: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, participated in a International Women’s Day programme at Kadamtala on March 9, 2023. The event saw the participation of women from two Panchayats of the area, namely Uttara and Kadamtala Panchayats, in large numbers.
The event started with a warm welcome extended to the Member of Parliament by the women participants. The women expressed their appreciation for the MP’s participation in the event and his support for women’s rights and empowerment.
During his speech, the Member of Parliament highlighted the importance of women’s rights and their contributions to society. He acknowledged the challenges faced by women in society and pledged his commitment to working towards creating a more gender-inclusive society.
The event was organized to celebrate International Women’s Day, which is observed annually on March 8th. The programme featured various activities and discussions focused on empowering women and promoting gender equality.
