Port Blair, Feb 02: World Wetland Day was celebrated on 02nd February, 2023 at Biological Park, Chidiyatapu. On this occasion water bodies present inside Biological Park was taken up for cleaning and the water bodies were named as per the Dominant forest tree species found growing near the water bodies. A total of 7 such water bodies were cleaned and named. Further on this occasion two temporary check dams were constructed. The Forest Executive Staff and Workers were sensitized about conservation of wetlands on the occasion.
