Diglipur, Jan 30: In a significant political development, a no-confidence motion has been brought against the current Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat Naveen Nagar located in Diglipur Tehsil. According to reliable sources, seven Ward Members of the Gram Panchayat Naveen Nagar submitted a letter of no-confidence against their Pradhan to the Panchayat Secretary of Gram Panchayat Diglipur.
Out of the 11 members in the Gram Panchayat, 07 are from Indian National Congress, 01 is an Independent, 02 are from the Bharatiya Janata Party and one post is currently unfilled. The group of Seven members has taken this step against the Pradhan due to their allegations of failing to take the members into confidence with regard to administrative and development works.
