Port Blair, Jan 29: In continuation of its Cloth Share initiative, a free Cloth distribution program was organized by Humane Touch at Ganna Dabla and Kalapahad village at Mayabunder on 27th January 2023 at 9:30 AM and Kaushalyanagar at Rangatat 3:30 PM.
The program at Mayabunder started with the address of Br.A Abdul Aziz,Executive Member, Humane Touch, he welcomed the gathering and briefedabout various social and public issues taken up by the organization. Br.NAbdul Salam and Br. MK Abdul Gafoor, Ex Members Humane Touch highlightedthe importance of the Clotheshare program and about the achievements ofthis initiative. Mr.Sohan Ram, Age 92 years of Kalapahad, Mayabunderbecame one of the eldest beneficiaries of the Clotheshare initiative.
At RangatBr.Abdul Naveed, Member, Humane Touch welcomed the gathering andBr. MK Naseerudeen, Secretary; Humane Touch introduced the Clotheshareinitiative and other social works done by the organization.
Mr. George Kujur, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kaushalyanagar expressed hisgratitude to Humane Touch in selecting his village for this initiative andextended his support for every work done by Humane Touch.
Till now this initiative has reached 22 villages viz. Shore Point, Mathura,Lamba Pahar, NamunaGhar, Chouldhari, Nayashahar, Bambooflat, Hope Town,Junglighat,habdipur, Mathura, NarsayyaPahad, Baratang Lal bhijan andPapithaPahad Village. Nearly around 9000 needy peoples have benefited fromthese programs. A large number of villagers gathered and collected clothesaccording to their needs.
