Port Blair, Jan 25: Mr.LionaldNicomed, Chairman, Tribal Council Car Nicobar, Mr. John Levi,Deputy Vice Chairman, Tribal Council Car Nicobar, Mr.Mohd.Amin Moosa, and Mr.L.Davidson, Executive Member, Tribal Council, Car Nicobar on 23/01/2023 met Mr. Amit Shah, the Union Home and Cooperation Minister.
The Tribal leaders highlighted several issues of the Island. Some important issue are Sea and Air Connectivity, Job reservation for ST, Opening up of Central or Sainik School, Implementation of Price Support Scheme, Relaxation of DG Shipping order for Cargo vessel of over 25 years old and Waiving of old loan of all 15 Primary Society and the Apex Society.
The Tribal leaders expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Amit Shah for his ever-sympathetic approach and patient hearing to the issues raised by the Tribal leaders.
Mr. Amit Shah positively assured to look into all issues to provide relief to the residents of Car Nicobar. Under his dynamic leadership, the tribal leaders see a ray of hope and future prosperity of the Island. The leader also invited Mr. Amit Shah to visit the Island, the Minister assured the Tribal Leader that soon he will visit the Island.
